This amazing Owl was done by Kate from Fairfax City , VA. I really love this quilt! See I told you it was difficult to pick just one favorite!!!!
For this owl Kate used lots of the very textured suiting samples that she got in her challenge pack and she added many upholstery fabrics from her own stash! It was real pleasure to meet Kate at the show!!

This story quilt was created by my good friend Barb Boatman. She used lots of the sample fabrics and added pictures of herself in various suits from through out her various careers. She is most comfortable, these days on her red Harley Motorcycle!!

This quilt was the subject of a very long conversation between two men who were spending lots of time discussing all the quilts and trying to figure out the point of view of each before reading the artist's statement. It was lots of fun to watch the men get so involved in studying each quilt- something that is not often seen at other quilt shows!!This is just a small sampling of the 108 Quilts that are on Display at Artistic Artifacts in Alexandria thru the end of November.
