Traveling Pages Swap -page for March

I have just recieved word that my Traveling Pages March Page has been recieved by it's owner, so now I can share it with you! Gayle's theme was "All Creatures Great and Small". Of course I went with a bird as my creature and used my carved bird stamp. I created the page using left over bits from my collage hangings and added some stitching and beads.

I am really into bold color and hand stitching lately, and other's seem to really enjoy it so on I go!!!
I love this quote so I used a Pitt pen and wrote it out right onto the painted fabric. Don't think about it too much when you are writing freehand, if I do , I invariably screw it up!!! Managed to get thru this time with no flubs!!! The quote reads "A bird does not sing becuase it has an answer. It sings because it has a song."

For the back I used some of my Flour Paste Resist fabric and another favorite quote, this time about women.

This wonderful stamp quote reads "A woman is like a tea bag, you don't know how strong she is until you put her in hot water". I love this stamp!!!!

Gayle seems to be quite pleased with her page, so I am a happy stitcher!!!

You have really scored big on that bird stamp you carved. And that's a lot of carving away to get that bird!

Hi Elizabeth! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the nice comments about my packets. They're paper. Yes, I can make them from fabric too but I haven't been in a sewing mood! LOL! Maybe this summer I'll bring my little sewing machine out on the porch.

Hope you're having a nice spring!
Diane
